Here are some of the reasons I love living in Los Angeles

Most of the articles on my website are designed to provide information about personal injury law, in general, and about specific legal terms and situations that involve personal injury law. However, this is a personal article about my love affair with the city of Los Angeles.

I moved to L.A. in 1974 after graduating from the University of South Dakota School of Law. Over the past four decades, I have discovered that Los Angeles is the best city in the world in which to live. L.A. has the best weather year round. Located between the Pacific Ocean and the San Gabriel Mountains, you can surf in the Pacific and ski in the mountains on the same winter day if you live in L.A.

Los Angeles has food from all over the world. Whatever cuisine you’re into, you can find it in this city. From Korean BBQ to Vietnamese Pho and Chinese dim sum to authentic Italian, L.A. has it. And, don’t forget about the city’s fantastic taco food trucks.

With more than 800 museums and art galleries in Los Angeles County, there is something to enjoy for every art lover. Gallery Row, an arts and culture district located in the heart of downtown L.A. has over 50 art galleries, museums, theaters, and public art installations which are all within walking distance. Take the Downtown Art Walk every 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Driving through L.A. you can’t help but notice how many cultures call the city their home. It’s one of the most diverse cities in the country, bringing together people of all cultures and walks of life.

And it continues to get better

With its Mediterranean climate, Los Angeles is relatively mild and comfortable all year round. Sure, you can get a stretch of sunny, hot, and dry days in the summers, and winters can be prone to some foggy, windy, and rainy weather. But, all in all, Southern California has the best weather in the world.

The nightlife in Los Angeles has something for all ages. Take in a magic show at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt or the legendary Magic Castle. Catch a concert at the famed Hollywood Bowl. The Arts District is home to Two Bit Circus, a 38,000-square-foot “micro amusement” park. Hike up to Griffith Park’s Mt. Hollywood or take in a museum after-hours. And, of course, L.A. has some of the hottest dance clubs, live music, and comedy venues in the country.

I love living in Los Angeles and serving my community. Being an attorney, I have been at the center of many cases that have had a significant impact on the city and its residents, most notably the Rampart corruption scandal that rocked the city in the late 1990’s.

Los Angeles like me, too!

Over the years, I’ve been honored to receive a number of awards for my work as a personal injury attorney in Los Angeles, including being named to the Top 25 Lawyers in the Valley by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal and a finalist for the Consumer Attorneys of California Lawyer of the Year Award.

After more than 40 years of serving the people of L.A. county, I’m committed to winning cases for my clients as evidenced by the list of settlements found on the firm’s website.
