The area was given the name of Studio City after Mack Sennett, an American actor, director, producer, and studio head, relocated his movie studio to the area and began production there in 1928. Today, those studios are home to CBS which is one of the area’s largest employers and a big supporter of the Studio City community.
Also known as the “Beverly Hills”s of the San Fernando Valley, Studio City’s famous Ventura Boulevard is home to many of the popular chain stores along with smaller and more trendy boutiques.
