Studio City

Studio City is a picturesque neighborhood nestled within the San Fernando Valley. Originally named “Rancho Ex-Mission”, the history of Studio City is all about movies! The area was given the name of Studio City after Mack Sennett, an American actor, director, producer, and studio head, relocated his movie studio to the area and began production there in 1928.  Today, those studios are home to CBS which is one of the area’s largest employers and a big supporter of the Studio City community.

Also known as the “Beverly Hills”s of the San Fernando Valley, Studio City’s famous Ventura Boulevard is home to many of the popular chain stores along with smaller and more trendy boutiques. From espresso bars to sushi houses, taverns, and gastropubs, the dining scene in Studio City is very diverse.

Studio City is home to such landmarks as the “Brady Bunch House”, CBS Studio Center, Los Angeles River Walk, and Fryman Canyon Park.
